Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) is sterile water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, used as a solvent for reconstituting lyophilised peptides. The benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial growth in the solution, which is why it's preferred over plain sterile water for multi-use reconstitution â it extends how long a reconstituted peptide solution stays viable for research use. Store at room temperature away from direct light; once opened, use within the timeframe recommended for the specific peptide being reconstituted. For laboratory research use only.
